We can provide our clients with some
suggestions on electrostatic resistance and some approaches
on testing electrostatic resistant fabrics.
Usually we adopt two approaches in solving electrostatic
problems. On one hand, taking measures to prevent static
from coming into being through antistatic finish on
fabrics; on the other, eliminating or conducting static
through mixing or blending conductive fibers into fabrics,
which has been proved to be the most effective way in
solving the problem.
There are many kinds of standards for testing electrostatic
resistant fabrics, but only the Charge Den Approach
in GB/T 12703-1991 or FZ/T 01060-1999 is applicable
for testing conductive fiber fabrics.
